Health and Hope: Homeopathy Medical Camp and National Cancer Awareness Day Observance by Good Vision Seva Trust
On November 7th, 2024, Good Vision Seva Trust (GVST) organized a transformative health initiative in Paloor, Karungal, combining a Homeopathy Medical Camp with National Cancer Awareness Day observances. This event was designed not only to provide immediate healthcare support but also to raise awareness about the importance of early cancer detection and preventive health measures in the community.
The Homeopathy Medical Camp offered free consultations, personalized treatments, and medicines to address a range of health issues. Homeopathy’s gentle yet effective approach resonated well with the attendees(Men and Women from varied background and age group, Volunteers, Teachers and GVST Team) many of whom were seeking holistic healthcare options. Skilled practitioners Dr. Sonny Mon, Dr. Nandhini and team from Saratha Krishna Homeopathy Medical College,Kulashekaram took part in the event.
The program kicked off with a powerful pledge and an introduction on the importance of understanding cancer risks and the necessity of early detection. Dr Nandhini highlighted some of the most common forms of cancer, such as breast, lung, cervical cancer and prostate cancer, and discussed the factors that can contribute to cancer development, including lifestyle choices and environmental factors. She also discussed about oncogene mutation. Participants were encouraged to adopt regular health checkups and screenings to identify potential issues before they escalate. She explained about the various developments in technology that are useful to cure cancer.
The event was a heartfelt initiative that brought health and hope to the community, reinforcing GVST’s mission to empower individuals through healthcare awareness and accessible medical support. By combining free health services with education, GVST aims to make lasting impacts on both individual health and community well-being.
