Other Social welfare activities
The Kanyakumari District General Workers Union and Good Vision Seva Trust have been instrumental in connecting the unorganized labourers with government agencies so as to empower them to voice their concerns and seek solutions. Through the establishment of the Labour Welfare Association named Kanyakumari Mavatta Pothu Thozhilalar Samooka Paadhukpu Sangam (KMPTSPS), GVST have organized the workers in the unorganized sector, raising awareness about their rights, privileges and the benefits available to them under various Labour Welfare Schemes.
Since 2000, approximately 7000 men and women have benefited from our services. The Sangam actively analyses issues as they arise, advocating for affected laborers in relevant forums and providing timely, appropriate solutions.
