Good Vision Seva Trust is a social organization dedicated to addressing the urgent needs of underprivileged communities, with the vision of creating a self-sustained and equitable society. In a world where marginalized, neglected, and vulnerable populations often struggle to access basic rights and opportunities, the Trust’s mission is to empower them to lead enriched, complete lives.
The need for such an organization stems from widespread social and economic inequalities, where many lack access to essential services like education, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities. Women, in particular, face systemic barriers, requiring targeted interventions to promote their empowerment. Additionally, the growing environmental challenges and the increasing frequency of natural disasters necessitate a focus on sustainable development and effective disaster management.
Good Vision Seva Trust seeks to address these gaps by focusing on empowering women, expanding access to education, promoting environmental sustainability, improving healthcare, supporting livelihood generation, and ensuring swift response in disaster management. By tackling these interconnected issues, the Trust works towards creating lasting change, ensuring that marginalized individuals have the tools and opportunities to improve their lives and contribute meaningfully to society.
Since its inception in the year 2000, this organization has carried out numerous programs with the support of government and non-governmental organizations, along with public participation, which has brought remarkable changes to the lives of thousands of people. The contribution of GVST during disasters like the Tsunami, Ockhi cyclone, and floods in Tamil Nadu was appreciated by many.
GVST besides social development activities provides trainings on capacity building, skill training like tailoring, computer literacy, etc. for promoting self-employment, disaster preparedness training and various awareness programs on socio-economic issues.
